Obituary of Anita N. McGary

Anita (Negrola) McGary, 88, of New Britain died Christmas Night at home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elvira (Togna) Negrola, she was a lifelong resident. She was the wife of the late Robert C. McGary, who died July 22, 2007). A graduate of New Britain High School, class of 1952, she was also a member of the former Italian Fraternal Society. Mrs. McGary is survived by three sons, Michael McGary, David McGary, both of New Britain and Steven McGary of Meriden. She is also survived by several cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Anita was predeceased by her cousins, Jack and Mary Negrola, with whom she made her home in her younger years. Due to Covid, Anita’s services will be private and at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary Cemetery, with her husband. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
