Angeline (Virgadula) Sartinsky, 95, of New Britain, died Friday (Oct. 15, 2021) at The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late John and Maria (DeFazio) Virgadula, she was a lifelong resident. She was first trained and employed as a hairdresser, and later worked at The Card Shop in downtown New Britain and then at JC Penney for over 25 years. Angie enjoyed all sports, especially UConn basketball and the Boston Red Sox. Sparetime was spent on puzzles, reading mysteries, and playing cards and dominoes. She also loved cooking Sunday dinners for family, and hosting holidays with all the traditional dishes. Angeline was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1989. She was also predeceased by a brother Frank Virgadula and a sister Lucy Cooley; two sons, Paul and Jon Sartinsky, and a daughter, Linda Reilly. She is survived by two daughters, Michele Sartinsky of Watertown and Kathy Sartinsky of New Britain, a son Michael Sartinsky and his wife Linda of Burlington; two grandchildren, Chris Sartinsky and his wife Kelly of NYC, and Lisa and her husband Tom Rachielles of Boston; her sister Claire Riemer of Unionville, and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday (Oct. 19, 2021) at St. Joachim Parish (St. Ann Church) 101 North St. New Britain at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army 78 Franklin Sq. New Britain, CT 06051.
