Obituary of Jose A. Lugo

Jose A. Lugo, 72, of New Britain, died Wednesday (Sept. 1, 2021) at home. Born in Puerto Rico, the son of the late Jose and Blanca (Gonzalez) Lugo, he lived most of his life in New Britain. He was employed for 50 years at Stanley – Black and Decker. He was a long time member of the New Britain Senior Center and was both a volunteer and teacher at the Resurrection House. Jose is survived by his children, Blanca Diaz and her husband Hector of East Hartford, Jose Antonio Lugo Jr and his wife Teresa of Bristol, and Alberto Lugo of Georgia; 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; a sister Hayda Lugo and her husband Pedro, and several nieces and nephews. A visitation and service will be held Tuesday (Sept. 7, 2021) from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers family ask you make a donation to a charity of your choice.
