Obituary of Penelope Morris

Penelope “Penny” Morris passed away peacefully on June 28, 2021 at home surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Penny was born in Plomari, Lesvos. Penny is predeceased by her husband James Morris, daughters Bessie Voisine and Victoria Cyr. Penny leaves behind her son Peter Morris and his wife Ellen of Unionville, CT. Her son-in-law Philip Cyr of Brooksville, Florida. Her Grandaughters Stephanie Voisine of New Britain, CT; Christine Cyr of Spring Hill, FL; and Jennifer Voisine of Cary, NC. She leaves behind her grandson Sean Cyr and wife Amy of Spring Hill, FL. She also leaves behind her Great-grandchildren who brightened her days Lauren Starks, Kaitlyn and Nathan Cyr. She also leaves behind her sister Maria and many many family members in Plomari, Greece. Penny was an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. She enjoyed cooking with the ladies of the cooking club and could be found in the kitchen during the festivals with her friends. She also loved to garden around her house. Penny worked and retired from Macristy Industries. Funeral services for Penny will be held Monday (July 12th) with a Service at 11:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 301 W. Main St. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church.
