Obituary of Theresa Dell'Oro

It is with our deepest sorrow to announce the passing of Zia (aunt) Theresa Dell’Oro on May 23rd 2021. Theresa was born in East Berlin, on May 14 1932, to Giacomo and Angela (Frate) Dell’Oro. Zia was raised in Civo, Italy, until her return to New Britain in 1948. She worked at Landers, Friary and Clark, General Electric and finally Emhart until retirement. Besides her parents, she was predeased by her brother Dino Dell’Oro and sister Emilia Dell’Oro Pirog. She is survived by her brother-in-law Edward Pirog, nephew Andrew Pirog and his wife Andrea, nieces Kathy and Angela Pirog and Joseph Janeczko, grandnephew Alexander Pirog and grandniece Alysha Pirog. Also, nephews Jack Dell’Oro and Louis Dell’Oro; nieces Paula Damm, Linda Battalene, Evelyn Pantano, Sylvia Dell’Oro and Catherine Papuga. Special thanks to Emilia Czerepuk for her years of kindness and care and to the nurses and staff on C-5 and the Hospice Team at THOCC. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday (May 26th ) at 10:30 AM at St. Joachim Parish (St. Ann Church) 47 Clark St. New Britain. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of donor’s choice.
