Mary (Saunders) Negri, 89, formerly of New Britain, died Wednesday (Mar. 4, 2020) at the Cherry Brook Health Care Center in Canton. Born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Atkinson) Saunders, and she lived most of her life in New Britain. She was the wife of the late Walter F. Negri, who died Dec. 27, 1990. She had been employed for many years at the Stanley Works in New Britain and was a long time parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church. Mrs. Negri is survived by a daughter Donna and her husband Richard Marino of California, two sons Robert and his wife Brenda Negri of Winsted, and James and his wife Mary Beth Negri of Rocky Hill; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday (March 9, 2020) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Apostles Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church) 655 East St. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Monday from 8:30 t0 9:30 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, CT 06051. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to, Alzheimer’s Association CT Chapter 200 Executive Blvd S #4b, Southington, CT 06489.
