Lois (Dart) Grib, 90, of Kensington, beloved wife of the late John I. Grib, Sr., passed away on November 28, 2019. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Dart. She graduated from New Britain High School and was employed for many years at Stanley Works and Cold Metal Products.

Lois was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, whose inner strength and positive attitude were evident as a three-time cancer survivor. She enjoyed entertaining others at her home in Kensington where she resided for 63 years.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Grib of Kensington; John I. Grib Jr., his wife Judy, and their children, Natalie, John III, and Colin, all of Stratford; her sister, Carole Harrington of Bristol, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain, on Thursday, December 5th at 11:00 a.m. with a Prayer Service at 12:00. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (bcrf.org) or the charity of one’s choice.
