Helen (Urbanski) Cop, 98, of Berlin died Thursday (Oct. 10, 2019) at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Christopher and Marion (Fifer) Urbanski, she lived in Berlin for many years. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Cop, who died Feb. 19, 2007. She was employed at Fafnir Bearing Co. for several years and was a longtime parishioner of Holy Cross Church in New Britain.

Mrs. Cop Is survived  by her daughter Sharon and her husband Daniel Lyons of South Carolina; her grandchildren Melissa and her Husband Kenneth Hurd of Berlin, Daniel and his wife Lori Lyons of Newington; six great grandchildren Phoebe, Nathaniel, Ethan, Abigail and Michaela, Taylor and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother and three sisters, Henry Urbanski, Sally Zebrowski, Genivive Drouin and Sophie Szczepanik.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday (Oct 15) with a visitation from 10:00  to

11:00  AM with a Service at 11:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Connecticut Breast Health Initiative, 185 Main St. New Britain CT 06051.
