Obituary of Thomas L. Campanelli
Thomas L. Campanelli, 62, of East Hartford, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday (Aug. 31, 2018) at Hartford Hospital. Although his battle with lung cancer was extremely short, he put up a tremendous fight until the very end. Born in New Britain, the son of the late Leonard and Maryann (Nesta) Campanelli, he lived in East Hartford for over 30 years. He was proudly employed for many years at the Windsor Marketing Group as a knife operator. He was also a part time DJ, enjoyed car shows, watching wrestling, was an avid gardener, and loved doing home and yard projects.
Tom is survived by his wife Emily ( Delanoval) Campanelli, two daughters, Amanda and her husband William Bradley of Colorado Springs, CO, Emily and her husband Antonio Mangiafico of Hartford, his sister, Patricia Campanelli of Enfield, his mother-in-law, Emilia Biosca of East Hartford, his grandchildren, Lorenzo and Liliana Mangiafico; and his aunt, Elaine Nesta of New Britain, as well as his beloved dogs Sophie and Mollie. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by brother, James Campanelli.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday (Sept. 5, 2018) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church 1755 Stanley St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 8:30 AM until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
