Obituary of John M. Florido

John M. Florido, 43, of New Britain, died Monday (July 2, 2018) at home. Born in Hartford, the son of Maria Alcina A.(Figueiredo)  and the late Manuel Martins Florido, he lived most of his life in Newington and New Britain. He was employed for many years at the Belamose Business Park in Rocky Hill. He was loved by all who knew him for his big heart and generosity.

In addition to his mother, John is survived by his sister Ana and her husband Robert Barrows of Cromwell; his niece and nephews Ashley, Robert and Connor Barrows; his uncle, Joaquim “Jack” Florido, and numerous cousins both in the U.S. and abroad. He was predeceased by his brother, Victor Manuel Florido.

Visiting hours will be TONIGHT (Friday July 6, 2018) from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a service at 6:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
