Obituary of Margaret J. Mangone
Margaret J. ( Piatek) Mangone, 91, of Kensington, died Saturday (May 6, 2017) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Piatek, she lived most of her life in Kensington. She was the widow of Richard Mangone, Sr., who died Jan. 7, 2002. A long time member of St. Paul’s Church in Kensington, she was previously a very active member of the former All Saint’s Church in New Britain.
Mrs. Mangnone is survived by two sons, Rick and his wife, Peggy Mangone of Southington, and Dave and his wife, Debbie Mangone of Berlin, a grandson, Michael Mangone; two sisters, Irene and her husband, Ray Kramer of Berlin, Vilma Stifel of Berlin; a brother Joseph Piatek of New Britain and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and three sisters, William Balon, Catherine Piatek, Mary Kazokas and Helen Dinda.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday (May 10, 2017) 9:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Paul’s Church, Kensington. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, garden mausoleum, New Britain. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
