Obituary of Rosemarie A. McGilvery

Rosemarie A. "Dolly" McGilvery, 85, of New Britain, died Monday morning at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late James and Anna (Nealon) Snedeker, she was a life long resident. She worked many years at Allstate Insurance, retiring in May 1989. A member of St. Joseph's Church, she had also been active with the Smith School PTA. Dolly is survived by her daughter Patricia Bell of New London, three sons Michael and his wife Nancy Moran of Illinois, James Moran, and Marc Moran of Colorado, a stepson David and his wife Carla McGilvery; two grandsons James Bell and Cody Bell; several nieces and nephews and many special friends including Georgie Benson. A prayer service will be Thursday (September 29, 2011) at 6:00 P.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
