Obituary of Edward G. Zup

Edward G. Zup of Kensington passed away at the Hospital of Central Connecticut on July 28th, 2011 at the age of 90. He was the husband of Florence (Klaje) Zup who predeceased him. He was employed by Black & Decker of Berlin retiring in 1984 and also employed by Harloc of West Haven. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. He is survived by his daughter Kathryn Ann Baron of Kensington, granddaughter Kelly Ann Constantino and her husband Michael of Waterbury. He leaves a brother Harold Zup of Kensington and two sisters Ruth Ballinger of Newington and Eleanor Simonides of New Britain. He was predeceased by a brother William Zup of East Berlin. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 2nd 11:00 A.M. at St Matthews Lutheran Church 87 Franklin Square. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square New Britain. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospital of Central Connecticut 100 Grand St. New Britain, CT 06051 or to St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
