Obituary of Annmarie Berarducci

Annmarie "Mary" Berarducci, 91, of Plainville, died Tuesday July 12, 2011 at the Jerome Home in New Britain. Born in Plainville, the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (D'Amico) Berarducci was a lifelong resident of Plainville. Mary worked at General Electric in Plainville early in her career and then spent many years as the administrative assistant and payroll processor with her late brothers at the B & L Tool Company in Plainville. She was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church, and sang with it's Resurrection Choir. Later she was involved in the organizing of various church events including their annual summer carnival. She was a charter member and active administrator of the Italian Women's Civic Club, which for nearly thirty years provided an annual scholarship to the top graduating female student of Plainville High School. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and an active member of the A.A.R.P. and the Plainville Senior Center. In addition to her avid interest in gardening, Mary was a creative textile crafter with her skill in tatting and crocheting. She also created numerous quilts, as well as braided and hooked rugs, which were proudly displayed throughout her home. Mary will be remembered for her creativity and organizational skills, her willingness to help others and her light-hearted sense of humor.Mary is survived by two sisters in law Helen (Santy) Berarducci and Mary (Campagnano) Berarducci, both of Plainville and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Lucy Berarducci, her brothers Andrew D. Berarducci, Peter P. Berarducci, John C. Berarducci, Frank A. Berarducci and Albert L. Berarducci. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Plainville. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home.
