Warren P. Davis, age 76, passed away at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, Monday, April 25, 2011, after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Warren was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on May 13, 1934, the son of Felice (Justin) and Warren B. Davis. Most of his youth was spent in Moscow, PA, graduating from Moscow High School in 1953. In later years he was employed in Lorraine, Ohio, followed by Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford, CT. His happiest years were spent as a member of the Connecticut State Police from 1963 until 1989. His last assignment was with the Bureau of State Fire Marshall in Meriden, CT (the Connecticut Department of Public Safety). Warren served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. San Pablo from 1956 to 1958. Warren loved working with wood and was quite talented, building and creating things for family and friends. Warren leaves Dorothy Moss, his devoted companion and best friend, his two sons Warren S. Davis and his fiancee' Emily Ottavi of Plantsville, CT, and Stephen Davis and his wife Karen of Lebanon, CT, and three grandchildren, Diandra Davis, Kelsie Davis and Pearson Davis all of Lebanon, CT. Warren also leaves his sister Pat and her husband Jack Kronenberger of Winchester, VA and their five children, and four nieces and one nephew. Besides his parents, Warren is predeceased by Joan Davis, the mother of his two sons. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 14, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Fund 811 W.
