Obituary of Patricia Ann Donnelly

Patricia Ann (Melley) Donnelly, 69, of New Britain, died early Wednesday morning at the Jerome Home in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Glynn) Melley, she was a lifelong resident and had been employed for many years at the New Britain City Hall, working mostly in the Building Department. She was a member of St. Jerome Church. Mrs. Donnelly is survived by her husband Michael Donnelly, Sr., two sons Michael Donnelly, Jr. and his wife Lois; John Donnelly and his wife Maria, all of Wethersfield; four gran children Michael, Julia, Aidan, and Ryan Donnelly; two brothers Daniel Melley and John Melley and his wife Diane all of New Britain; a sister Margaret and her husband Howard Asal of Kensington; two sisters in law Dolores McNamara of Southington, and Joanne McNamara of New Britain and a brother in law John Podbielski of New Britain and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and one sister William McNamara, James McNamara, Donald McNamara, Richard McNamara and Maryann Podbielski. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Church 1010 Slater Road New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jerome Home 975 Corbin Ave. New Britain, CT 06052.
