Gertrude (Chant) Alderman, 92, of New Britain, died Saturday morning, January 15, 2011 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. She was the widow of Clifford W. Alderman, Jr. A life-long resident of New Britain, she was born October 18, 1918. She was employed by Fafnir Bearing for over 20 years before her retirement. A Born Again Christian, Gertrude was an active member of the Emmanuel Gospel Church in Newington.
She is survived by her son Clifford W. Alderman, III of New Britain. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Raymond Chant and her sister, Edith Burner.
Funeral services and burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
