Obituary of Mary Louise Plucas

OBITUARIES Mary Louise (Smith) Plucas, 96, of New Britain, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born Aug. 4, 1913 in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late T.C. and Mary (Murphy) Smith. She attended local schools and graduated from Our Lady of Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Louise is predeceased by her husband Edward Plucas, her two sons Francis Plucas and Edward Plucas, three brothers and one sister. She taught elementary school at St. Mary's Church in New Britain and in Rocky Hill, for many years. She also worked as a telephone operator at New Britain General Hospital for twenty years retiring in 1980. Louise is survived by her daughter-in-law Dana Plucas of Phoenix, five grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and 5 great great grand children. Funeral services will be private and at he convenience of the family, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
