Rose Mary (Deutsch) Binder, 100, of New Britain, died Friday (Oct. 7, 2016) at an area convalescent home. Born in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Michael and Stefani (Schrei) Deutsch, who were immigrants that came over from Austria, she lived in New Britain most of her life. She was the wife of the late Anthony C. Binder, who died Dec. 17, 1989. Rosie had been employed for 35 years at the P & F Corbin Manufacturing Co. She later worked at Landers, Frary and Clark and at Steigers. A devoted member of St. Peter Church, she also belonged to the New Britain Senior Center, The Donau Austrian Singing Society and the St. Ann's Society. Rosie is survived by her sister in law, Valerie Binder of New Britain and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Stefani Deutsch, Mary Telke and Anna Kalinauskas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday (Oct. 12, 2016) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Peter Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00AM until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. 06051.
