Obituary of Michael J. Paretta

Michael J. Paretta, 79, of Farmington, died Friday (Sept. 2, 2016) at an area convalescent home. He was raised in New Britain, and had been a Farmington resident for many years. He was employed at Fafnir Bearing Co. and then the Torrington Co. for several years supporting sales in customer service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mike was an avid fisherman, enjoying time on lakes and rivers throughout Connecticut. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family and many dear friends. Mr. Paretta is survived by his daughter Beth Paretta of Birmingham, MI; two sisters, Mary Lou and her husband Robert Depianta of Old Lyme, CT; Anne and her husband Ed Sheffield of Newington and several nieces and nephews, whom he loved deeply. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Priscilla (Pawlicki) Paretta and son Michael J. Paretta, Jr. A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday (Sept. 21, 2016) at 11:00AM at St. Patrick's Church 110 Main St. Farmington. Burial will be private. There are no visiting hours.
