Agnes M. (Apostalon) Donnelly, 86, died Saturday at the Jerome Home in New Britain. Born in Fresno, CA, the daughter of the late Dan and Agnes (Frolik) Apostalon, she lived most of her life in New Britain and was married for 54 years to the late Daniel F. Donnelly, who died October 29, 2005. She was a member of Saint Maurice Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. Agnes worked at the New Britain Visiting Nurse Association for 41 years as a staff nurse where she made many close friends and touched many lives. She retired in 1990. Agnes is survived by her son James and his wife Lois of Southington, two adored grandchildren Scott Donnelly and his girlfriend Amy Dizik and Kristin (Donnelly) Foster and her husband Trevor all from of Bristol, her brother Col. Dan G. and his wife Cynthia Apostalon of Albuquerque, N.M., her sister Florence Davis of Centennial, CO, two sister-in-laws Gertrude and Ann Donnelly, both of New Britain; several nieces and nephews and a dear friend Gisele who's weekly Thursday visits she looked so forward to. The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Jerome Home for the wonderful care they provided Agnes. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, 11:00 A.M. at St. Maurice Church 100 Wightman Road New Britain. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Saturday at 9:00 A.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Parents 4 A Change c/o Mary Marcuccio at 45 Woodruff St. Southington, CT 06489 or the Salvation Army for benefit of the Meriden Shelter at 855 Asylum Ave. Hartford, CT 06105.
