Mary E. (Marybeth) Smith, 59, of Willimantic, died Tuesday at home. Born in New Britain the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Lynch) Smith, she attended St. Mary's School and New Britain High School graduating in 1970. After working locally, she moved to Willimantic where she spent the last 25 years of her life. She loved music and dancing. She loved her family deeply. Her gregarious personality and sense of humor were a joy to be around and Mary cultivated friendships which lasted for decades. Her kind heart will be missed by all who were privileged to know her. Marybeth is survived by her siblings Maureen Trudel and her husband David of Farmington; Mark Smith and his wife Pat of Berlin, MA; Stephen Smith and girlfriend Jean Trzasko of New Britain; her sister in law Sheila Smith of New Britain; and nieces, Kelly Trudel of Farmington, Patricia Franzese and Sarah Arborio of Bristol, a nephew, Travis Smith of New Britain and three grand nephews and a grand niece. She also leaves a very dear friend, Lynn Megguire of Coventry and her children Angela and Vinny Trigilio. She was predeceased by her brother Michael Smith. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church 1755 Stanley St. New Britain. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Smith family would like to thank all those who loved and cared for Mary in her GA-NA-DEN Apartment.
