Obituary of Jane Turchetta

Jane (Ring) Turchetta, 96, formerly of New Britain, died Wednesday (Apr. 10, 2024) at her daughter Joanne’s home, surrounded by her family. Born in New Britain, the daughter  of the late Dennis and Nadia (Eccles) Ring, she attended New Britain schools and moved to Glastonbury 28 years ago. She was the beloved wife of Philip Turchetta, who died in 1975.  She had been employed at the Newington Children’s Hospital, was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in New Britain and served as President of the Rosary Guild of St. Joseph’s Church.

Mrs. Turchetta is survived by her children, Wayne and his wife, Linda Turchetta, Paul Tuchetta, Gary and his wife, Darleen Turchetta,  Donna Turchetta  DiMauro and her husband Nicholas DiMauro,  and Joanne and her husband Glen Ouellette, and, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday (Apr. 18, 2024) 9:30 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Church 195 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
