Obituary of Leroy T. Dorbuck

Leroy T. Dorbuck, 97, of Farmington, died Saturday (Feb. 17, 2024).  Born and raised in New Britain he was the husband of Frances (Gombotz) Dorbuck for 58 years.  After serving in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Campaign, Leroy was employed at Stanley Works for 33 years. He was a member of the Union and served as Committee Man at Stanley-Black & Decker.

In addition to his wife, Leroy is survived by his children, Douglas and Paula Dorbuck, Gregory and Janet Pixton, Philip and Mary Ann Pixton and Carrie and Vincent Rossitto, his sister, Alyce  Abbate, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday (Feb 22, 2024) 9:30 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday (Feb. 21, 2024) from 5:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
