Eleanor Y. Zorn, 96, of New Britain passed away peacefully on Friday September 1, 2023, at Autumn Lake Health Care. Born in New Britain she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Yauck. She was the wife of the late Henry Zorn who passed away in 2008.

Eleanor grew up in New Britain and attended local schools, and was a parishioner of St. Peter’s Church and member of their Ladies Guild. She enjoyed music and dancing and was a member of the Austrian Donau Club as well as the Alpenland Tanzer. She also enjoyed keeping a well maintained garden and yard, and could always be seen smiling and singing.

Eleanor is survived by her two sons; Henry and Richard Zorn. She is also survived by her two sisters, Evelyn Stelma and Wilma Carreras along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by her brother Erwin Yauck.

Funeral services for Eleanor will be held Monday September 11 , 2023 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Peter’s Church, 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 151 Farmington Ave Plainville. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
