Roger E. Beaupre, 86, of New Britain, died Wednesday at an area convalescent home. Born in Grand Isle, Maine, he lived most of his life in New Britain and was the husband of the late Ann (LaChance) Beaupre who died in July 1980. Roger worked many years at the freight yards in Hartford and East Hartford and retired as a conductor for Amtrack after forty five years. He was a member of the French Model Club, St. Jean the Baptist Society and had volunteered at the New Britain Senior Center. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed the OTB. Roger is survived by three daughters Debbie Wyzatecki of Colchester, Carlene Beaupre and Bonnie Beaupre-Bruno, both of New Britain, two grandchildren Alex Wyzatecki and Stephen Wyzatecki, a sister Anne Chasse of Grand Isle, ME, a brother Clarence and his wife Agatha Beaupre of Tolland and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday 8:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Square with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church ( corner of Newington Ave. and East St. ). Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be today (Thursday) from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
