Joyce E. (Ehrler) Brasile, 88, of New Britain, died Monday at Avery Heights in Hartford. Born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Agnes (Stauff) Ehrler, she lived most of her life in New Britain. Early on she had been employed at the Western Union, but spent most of her working career at the Hartford Courant. A lifelong parishioner of St. Peter Church, she also belonged to the St. Ann's Society and the Ladies Guild of the church. Mrs. Brasile is survived by her daughter Janet and her husband Andrew Chorzempa of Plantsville, two sons Gary and his wife Cindy Brasile of New Britain and Thomas and his wife Melody Brasile of Southington; six grandchildren Thomas Brasile Jr, Lori Consalvo, Michele Kalisz, Jason Brasile, Sarah Chorzempa and Andrew Chorzempa; six great grandchildren Kelsea Brasile, Caitlin Brasile, Thomas Brasile III, Nicollette Kalisz, Annina Consalvo, and Emma Brasile ; two sisters Gladys Westergren and Lois Ehrler, both of Windsor; two nieces Joyce Westergren and Gail Westergren. Funeral services will be held Thursday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin sq. New Britain. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzeimer's Association 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100 Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
