Obituary of Rita C. Bosse

Rita C. (Cyr) Bosse, 80, of New Britain, died Thursday at Hartford Hospital. Born in St. Agatha, ME, the daughter of the late Wifred and Roseanna (Sirois) Cyr, she lived most of her life in New Britain. Her family was proud of her courageous battle with lung cancer over the years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and the St. Anne's Society. She was the widow of Valere Joseph Bosse, who died Nov. 5, 1998. Mrs. Bosse is survived by her children Diane and her husband Roland Martin of North Carolina, Joyce and her husband James Voisine of Plainville, Paulin Bosse Hess of North Carolina; and Gary and his wife Rosemary Bosse of Newington; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; five sisters Claire Martin of Florida, Simone Roy of Ellsworth, ME, Marie May Raboin of New Britain, Jeannine Martin of Madawaska, ME, and Wilma Theriault of Southington, two brothers Armand Cyr of Hartford, and Richard Cyr of Meriden. She was predeceased by two sons Richard and Robert and two daughters Joan and Carol and a brother Fern Cyr and a sister Constance Cyr. Funeral services will be held Monday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church (corner of East St. and Newington Ave.) with burial following in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Monday morning from 8:30 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
