Harold was my friend. He had a great sense of family, and an outrageous sense of humor. A great teaser on the golf course, every round was fun. On the Board of Health of which he was chairman, I was constantly impressed with his dedication to our city. He was the epitome of a caring professiional gentleman.

Having spent my career at NBGH (I can't think of Harold and say THOCC in the same sentence), there are a few people who remain very special to me. Not only did he take care of me and my entire family, but I really enjoyed the personal moments that I spent with him. His smile, sense of humor and his caring for others remain as cherished memories for me. His charm was also appreciated by my wife whenever we would see him. I would always ask Steve about him when we saw each other at the hospital. Ruthie and I are saddened by his passing. David Krugman, MD

The Julien family of Glastonbury sends our sincerest condolences on the passing of Dr. Bosco. We are so sorry for your loss, but what a wonderful life he led. To have such intelligence and character and the love of a wonderful family and friends ... While reading the obituary in The Courant, a memory of a poem by Bessie Stanley originally published in the Lincoln (Kansas) Sentinel in 1905 came to mind: "He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who has left the world better than he found it; who has never lacked appreciation of Earth's beauty or failed to express it; who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had; whose life was an inspiration; whose memory a benediction." Godspeed to Dr. Bosco. Jane Gordon (Julien)
