Obituary of Arnold C. Svitra

Arnold C. Svitra, 65, of New Britain, died Saturday at home. Born in Germany, he lived most of his life in New Britain. In his early years, he was a disc jockey with the WPOP Radio Station. He then worked at HRA in New Britain and most recently was a dispatcher for the New Britain Police and Fire Departments. He was the widow of Anne P. (Walenticonis) Svitra. Arnold is survived by numerous friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held Thursday with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrews Church 396 Church St. at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society 701 Russell Road Newington, CT 06111.
