Obituary of Nathalie Doucette

Nathalie Doucette, 89, of New Britain, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at an area convalescent home. Born in Frenchville, Maine, the daughter of the late Steven and Melia (Thibodeau) Dubois, she lived most of her life in New Britain. The widow of Aurelle Michaud, who died in 1967, she was later married to the late Jean Doucette. She had been employed at the Fafnir Bearing Co. for many years, retiring in 1984. Mrs. Doucette is survived by her son Dennis Michaud of New Britain and his wife Debra of Wolcott; two step daughters Claire and her husband Joseph Mehan of Wethersfield, Paulette and her husband Richard Mika of New Hartford; five grandchildren Susan and her husband John D'Alessandro of Berlin, Steven and his wife Stacey Michaud of Newington, Sara Michaud of Berlin, Matthew Michaud and Melissa Michaud, both of Wolcott; three great grandchildren Christian D'Alessandro, Nathan Michaud and Ella Michaud and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Gail Michaud. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, on Friday at 10:00 at St. Mary Church 626 Willard Ave. Newington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nathalie's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
