Anne L. Koval, beloved sister of Lorraine (Koval) Egan died peacefully Sunday morning, December 11th at Brittany Farms with her sister Lorraine and brother-in-law John F. Egan at her side. The evening before her death she was surrounded by her loving family. Anne was born in CHOTCA, Slovakia and came to the United States with her mother and sister (Mary) at the age of 4. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Koval. During World War II, Anne was proud to serve her country as a Red Cross driver. She worked at New Britain Machine for many years and then at Stanadyne retiring as a supervisor. She was an exceptional bowler and won several trophies for the Stanadyne Girls Club. Anne was a dedicated member of All Saints Church until it was closed and went on to become a parishioner with St. Ann Church in New Britain. She is survived by her sister Lorraine Koval Egan and brother -in-law John Egan, her nieces and nephews Kathleen Richardson, Michelle Larson, Gail Petanovich, Carolyn Newton, Susan M. Egan, John Egan, and Tammy Fandozzi: her grandnieces and grandnephews Roberta Garrick, Karen Ott, Kenneth Zuk, Erin Dorman-Peters, Caprese Dorman, Brett Dorman, Jillian Newton, Ryan Newton, Arianna Fandozzi, Gurrie Fandozzi, Bella Fandozzi and several great grand nieces and nephews and great great grand nieces and nephews. During her life Anne was a devoted daughter, sister, and loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Frankowski and brothers John Koval and Joseph Koval. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Square, New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ann's Church, New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Diabeties Association P.O. Box 31160 Hartford, CT 06150-1160 or St. Ann's Church c/o 47 Clark St New Britain, CT 06051. A special thanks to the caregivers and exceptionally compassionate staff of Brittany Farms where Anne spent her final years.
