Obituary of Conchita Penarroya

Conchita M. (Giner) Penarroya, 73, of New Britain, died Thursday (Oct.17,2013) at home. Born in Murla, Spain, the daughter of the late Mariano and Conchita Giner, she came to this country at the age of 31. After graduating from the Moodys School of Business, she was employed for 25 years at the Travelers Insurance Co. as a Market Analyst. She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church and was known as an opera fan. Mrs. Penarroya is survived by her daughter Rebecca Penarroya and her husband Scott Blanchette of New Britain, her sister Maria Louisa Giner of Spain and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday (Oct.22,2013) at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church 1755 Stanley St. New Britain. Burial will be private.
