Patricia A. Rametta Obituary

Patricia Annette (Pilkonis) Rametta, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, April 29, 2026, at THOCC, New Britain campus. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Constance (Ciss) Pilkonis born on November 14,1948 in New Britain CT where she was a life-long resident. Patty was a proud graduate of New Britain High School class of 1966 where she took part in many school activities and clubs. She met her future husband Robert in the summer of 1967 and got married the following year.

A devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, Godmother, and friend, her dedication to her family and community will be remembered by all who knew her. A proud hostess, Patty enjoyed cooking during the holidays for family and friends. She always wanted everyone to feel welcomed, included, and special. Known for her love of cooking she liked to try new recipes, especially from Ina Garten and Giada but also stayed with old family recipes including her tomato sauce and pizza dough. She enjoyed yearly family vacations but also couldn’t resist vacations to Atlantic City and Las Vegas with friends.

Patty liked being active and social and was also known as being a hard worker. Aside from being a stay-at-home mom in her early years, Patty started back in the workforce in banking where she stayed for 40 years. At the same time, she was co-owner of LaRosa’s Restaurant, a local staple in the community. She was a rector and Eucharistic minister at St. Ann’s church, was on numerous boards and organizations in the city, and recently, worked at Farrell Funeral Home.

Pat is survived by her son Robert J Rametta, his wife Carrie, son-in-law David Nolan, her sister Gail Rametta, her brother-in-law John Schultz, sister-in-law Ann Rametta, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her father and mother-in-law Albert and Grace Rametta, who was like a second mother to her, her husband Robert, her daughter Tammy Nolan, sister Lorraine Schultz, and brothers-in-law Albert Jr. and Carmen Rametta.

Patricia’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to THOCC ICU, C5, and the HHC Hospice team who provided care, support, and comfort to her, as well as the staff at Elim Park, and Jerome Home, especially Yan Yan Beach APRN and Amy Morales APRN for providing exemplary care. “A doctor/nurse can save your life, a lawyer can defend your life, a soldier can give you a peaceful life, but only God can give you everlasting life”

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00-7:00pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00 on Wednesday, May 6, at Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain.  Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you support a charity of your choice.

“Death takes the body, God takes the soul, Our minds hold the memories, Our heart keeps the love, Our faith lets us know we will meet again”
