Frederick F. Ward, 82, formerly of West Hartland, died Tuesday (April 7, 2026).  Born in New Britain, he attended local schools and moved to West Hartland in 1967. He was the husband of the late June (Donahue) Ward, who died Jan 3, 2016. Fred owned and operated his own plumbing and heating company and supplied oil to his customers. He was an avid fisherman.

Fred is survived by a nephew and two nieces,  Jim Donahue, Kim Donahue and Kathy and her husband, Howard Donahue. He was predeceased by his brother. Sterling Ward.

Funeral services will be held Monday (April 13, 2026) at 12:00 noon at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
