Alexander John Kaczynski, 82, of New Britain, died Friday (April 3, 2026) at home. Born in New Britain, he attended Sacred Heart School and was a member of the first graduated class of Rocky Hill High School in 1961. He later attended the University of Hartford and Arizona State University.

He retired from the Rocky Hill Veteran’s Hospital after 33 years, in 1997. He loved sports, including baseball and basketball and was an avid golfer, having been a member  of Goodwin Park for 40 years, president of the men’s club for the last 15 years. He had a good life and loved his family and friends.

Alex leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Maria (Ludwikow) Kaczynski and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be held Monday (April 13, 2026) at 5:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with visitation from 4:00 to 5:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
