Robert W. Korhonen Obituary

Robert W. Korhonen, 68, of New Britain, died Tuesday (Feb. 17, 2026) at home. Born in New Britain, the son of the late Oliver W. Korhonen, Sr., and Faye (Harvey) Korhonen, he was a lifelong resident and graduate of Pulaski High School. A very family oriented person, Bob enjoyed family gatherings, coin collecting and was an avid history buff, especially military history.  Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus Daly Council #12.


Bob is survived by his siblings, Marie Guasp, Catherine and her husband Dr. Albert DeNuzzio, George Korhonen and Wayne Korhonen; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Hart and a brother, Oliver W. Korhonen, Jr.


Funeral services will be held Saturday (Feb. 21, 2026) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Francis Church 1755 Stanley St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 to 10: 00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
