Frances C. (Gombotz) Dorbuck, 93, died Tuesday (January 27, 2026) at home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Frank and Lena (Heidl) Gombotz, she has lived in Farmington for the last five years. She was predeceased by her husband, Leroy Dorbuck, who died Feb. 17, 2024. A longtime employee of Stanley Works, she was employed as a Cost Clerk in the Accounts Payable Department. An avid book reader, she was very involved at her residence, Discovery Village Farmington, as a Welcome Ambassador, a store employee and loved to play Canasta.

Mrs. Dorbuck is survived by her children Gregory and Janet Pixton, Philip and Mary Ann Pixton, Carrie and Vincent Rossitto and Douglas and Paula Dorbuck ; her siblings, Helen Burkarth, Frank Gombotz, Richard Gombotz, William Gombotz, Ronald Gombotz, Caroline Kulasenski and Elizabeth Melinosky;  7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Gombotz, Marion Bernosky and John Gombotz.

Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday (Feb. 4, 2026) at 10:30 AM at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Road, New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
