Maryellen Hackett Obituary

Maryellen Hackett, 62, formerly of New Britain, died, Sunday (Jan. 11, 2026) at her home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Russell and Barbara (Penson) Hackett, she moved to Wallingford a year and half ago. She had been the Office Manager for twelve years at Holy Apostle’s Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church) in New Britain.


Maryellen is survived by her sister Susan Hackett, her aunt Claire and her husband, Rocco Albano, her cousins, Heather and her husband, Richard Jackson, Molly and her husband Kurt Anderson and their son Gabriel Anderson.


Funeral services will be held Friday (Jan. 16, 2026) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Paul’s Church 485 Alling St. Kensington, CT. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
