In loving memory of Antonino DiPietro who passed peacefully on December 20, 2025, at the age of 96, surrounded by his loving family.
Antonino was born and raised in Sortino, Sicily. He emigrated to New Britain in 1958 to be with his loving wife Nannina and worked tirelessly at Stanley Works as a machine operator for 31 years. His hard work and perseverance provided the opportunity to own and manage a number of rental properties in New Britain. His Sicilian roots were steadfast and strong. He was a proud member of the Societa Sortinese. He was blessed to be part of the "club" which consisted of other Sortinese families that emigrated together to the New Britain area at the same time. The club was a tight-knit, extended family, rich in culture and tradition. He enjoyed making delicious homemade wine while cultivating a phenomenal vegetable garden. His joy was including his grandchildren in the process.
He leaves behind his wife Nannina of 69 years, a son Angelo and his wife Nancy; a daughter Sarina Markowski; and a daughter Tina, and her husband Tom Undercuffler. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy that endures on through his precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he was most proud of. He also leaves behind his loving sister, Santina of Sortino, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Michael Markowski.
Funeral services for Antonino will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025 with a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain and on Saturday, December 27th from 8:30 to 9:30 am.
