Stephen Mark Wysocki Obituary

Stephen Mark Wysocki, 44, of New Britain and Westbrook passed on peacefully at home in Westbrook on Nov 18th.

Beloved son of MaryAnne (Silverio) Wysocki and Gregory M. Wysocki, Stephen was the brother of Gregg, Justin, and Mark Wysocki. He is also the father of Jack and Helena Wysocki.

Stephen was a friendly, loving, strong talented man who always greeted family and friends with a big smile and a hug. He is a beautiful soul.

Stephen was most recognized for his exceptional athletic talents. He earned many state honors in football and track and field. Football was his love and he excelled. He provided many years of entertainment for devoted family and friends.

Stephen attended Mooreland Hill School, New Britain High School and Avon Old Farms School. After secondary school he was heavily recruited by colleges and universities.  He chose the University of Mass in Amherst, once again bringing us more years of exciting competitions. His summers were spent working with urban children at Camp Courant. A big kid himself, Stephen loved children and animals.

After earning a B.A. from UMASS, Stephen went on to earn the C.I.S.S.P. credentials and started working at a small company in Boston. His next employment was with the British Telecom as a cybersecurity consultant.

Stephen’s greatest accomplishment and source of happiness came with the birth of his children Jack and Helena. In addition to his children, he leaves his parents and his three brothers, the mother of his children Nailde Chavez Lima, several nephews, a niece, cousins, uncle Stephen Silverio and aunt Donna Silverio, as well as many friends.

Funeral services for Stephen will be held Tuesday (Nov 25) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Church, 101 North Street, New Britain. Burial will be held privately. Visitation will be held Monday (Nov 24) from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Boys & Girls Club of New Britain.
