Jean (Swanston) Borrelli, 86, loving wife of the late Frank Borrelli Jr., passed away on November 14, 2025. She was the only child of Charles and Dorothy Swanston. Jean spent her childhood and high school years in Forestville, CT and on Candlewood Lake. Frank and Jean were married on August 27, 1960, and they spent many happy years together.
First living in New York, then moving to Connecticut to raise their five children and finally retiring in Vermont where she enjoyed working at Okemo Ski Resort with the children as well as Fletcher Farm’s art center with the crafters. In her free time, Jean enjoyed reading, tending to her flower gardens and taking day trips with Frank.
Jean is survived by her five children: Heather (Ron) Angelillo, Barbara Sturgis (Steve Jones), Allison (Rick) Powers, Frank (Tillie) Borrelli and Suzanne (Dustin) Robinson. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren: Bailey, Kayla, Evan, Amber, Carson, Caden, Ada, Abel, Tyler and Reagan, her brother-in-law Niel Borrelli, sister-in-law Sandra Ricci and nephew and nieces. Jean is predeceased by her husband Frank, her brother-in-law Renzo Ricci, her sister-in-law JoAnne Borrelli and her niece Francesca (Borrelli) Johnson.
Funeral services for Jean will be held Thursday (Nov 20) at 11AM at Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, 49 Pound St. Bristol. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
