Judith A. Bielomyza Obituary

Judith A. Bielomyza (Bonola), has returned to her maker on November 12, 2025. Born to Mario and Angie Bonola on August 31, 1950, in New Britain, Judy paved her way through life by marching to the beat of her own drum. Judy graduated from New Britain High school in 1968, and started her career as a respiratory therapist after graduating from NBGH School of Inhalation Therapy in 1970. She poured herself into a career as a respiratory therapist for more than 40 years,  representing her colleagues as president of their CHCA union, and often spending people’s last moments with them by giving them their last breath. Judy cherished her husband and two children; attending and volunteering at their schools on PTA boards and fundraising committees, and cheering loudly and lovingly at their sporting events.

She was always available for a cup of coffee and giving her opinion, whether you wanted to hear it or not. Judy looked forward to meals with her family, finding a deal she couldn’t resist, and asking never ending questions about what you were doing. She loved to travel, especially where the waters were clear, the sun was shining, and pina coladas were fresh; always making friends and memories along the way. If you ever had the honor of having a conversation with her, you undoubtedly encountered her contagious cackle, quick wit and undying support. Her sense of pride and work ethic was nothing compared to her unwavering and fierce love and support for her family and friends.

Judith is predeceased by her husband, Ronald A. Bielomyza. She is survived by her two sons; Andrew Bielomyza of Granby, MA, Matthew Bielomyza and his wife, Danielle, of Berlin, CT. Judy is also survived by Chloe, who was the first born grandchild and the absolute apple of her eye, along with Abel and Domenic, who kept her on her toes and her wit sharp. Judy is also survived by her sisters; Mrs. Linda Gianoli and her husband Dr. Dennis Gianoli of Farmington and their children Elizabeth, Amy and Daniel, Mrs. Joanne (Bonola) Procopio of Harwinton and her children Jessica and Melissa, Mrs. Nancy Barwikowski and her husband Gary of East Lyme and their children Nicholas and Alex, and her brother, Dr. Joseph Bonola and his his wife Kristen of Westlake, Texas and their children, Micah, Jacob, Kaitlyn and Bella, and many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is also survived by family who were not her blood but she carried them in her heart always; Daniel Waida of Rocky Hill, Joseph and Savannah Waida and their daughter Murphy of Berlin, Cassandra Waida and her children Jason, Alexis, Madison and Hailey of Bristol. Along with her family, her dearest friends Linda, Peggy, Marcia, and Mikki were always by her side at a diner for breakfast, filling up shopping carts, and enjoying a drink with too many laughs to count.

A special thanks to the heartfelt staff at Hartford Healthcare Hospice, especially Susan, as well as Dr. Joseph Sinning who selflessly supported Judy and her family through her journey.
