Brian E. Donahue, 50, of Burlington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Saturday (Sept.7,2013.) Born and raised in New Britain, he attended local schools and graduated from the Porter & Chester Institute. The son of Robert and Arlene (Cimadon) Donahue, he lived the past fourteen years in Burlington. He was a Mortgage Broker with United Investment Bankers in Plainville. Prior to that, he was the owner and operator of Central Connecticut Automotive in New Britain and a member of the Bristol Elks Lodge BPOE #1010. He was very active in supporting his three children's recreational, sporting and Scout activities. He enjoyed a good round of golf, was an avid Red Sox fan, and loved traveling on his motorcycle with his wife Lisa at his side. In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his wife Lisa (Brinton) Donahue; three children Daniel, Chelsey, and Jack Donahue; two step children Jesse Lapierre and Gina Pio; his sister Karen and her husband Richard Rossignol; and their children Christopher and his wife Jessica, and Corey Rossignol. He was predeceased by a nephew Kyle Rossignol. He also leaves many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and a circle of friends who will miss his kind hearted and loyal spirit. He will be missed beyond words. Funeral service and burial will be private. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Please join Brian's family for a Celebration of Life service Thursday at 11:30 AM at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center - 303 Tunxis Rd - West Hartford, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop (BSA #55) c/o Scott Melancon - 197 Brightwood Ave - Torrington, CT 06740.
