Lawrence J. Rashaw, 62, of Bristol died Tuesday (Sept. 2, 2025) at the John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. Born in New Britain, he lived most of his life in New Britain and Bristol. He spent his career as a mechanic, working for several garages and he worked at the New Britain Herald. Larry was known as a coin collector, a gun enthusiast and an avid Harley- Davidson rider.
Among his survivors are two daughters, Dominique Elaine Rashaw and Scott, Shelby Rashaw and Jonathan, his son Lawrence J. Rashaw, Jr. and his girlfriend, Courtney, three sisters, Rosemary and her husband, Bric Wheeler, Ruth and her husband, Robert Satalino, Audrey and her husband, Greg Zapor; two brothers, Robert and his wife, Mott Rashaw, Mark and his wife, Nancy Rashaw; several nieces and nephews and his beloved pets, Bailey and Jake.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday (Sept. 10, 2025) at 11:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carole & Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center at UCONN on behalf of Lawrence Rashaw.
