John F. Pandolfi Jr., 64, of Berlin, CT, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 10, 1961, in New Britain, CT, John spent nearly his entire life in Berlin, where his roots ran deep in family, friendship, and community. A proud graduate of Berlin High School, John played football and developed a lifelong passion for sports—especially golf. His love for the game led him into the golfing profession, and for many decades he worked alongside his oldest brother in both golf and their family business, Pandolfi Paint and Papering. Known for his easygoing nature, strong work ethic, and quiet dedication, John left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The youngest of four children, John is survived by his brothers, Joseph Pandolfi (Dianne) and Louis Pandolfi (Joanne), and his sister, Vincene McCain (Brian), who was also his best friend and steadfast companion through life’s challenges. He leaves behind a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, including his cherished nieces and nephews—Michelle Pandolfi, Joseph Pandolfi (Kristen), Christine Garrant (Jason), Stephanie Cortes, Alicia Strong (Parker), John Pandolfi (Bianca), and Lauren Pandolfi—as well as many who lovingly called him “Uncle,” including Olivia, Joe, Paul Michael, and Mark. He was also adored by his great-nieces and nephews—Cole, Lee, Isaac, Grayson, Conor, Isabel, Cooper, Gabriella, Taylor, Alexander, and William.
John was a treasured cousin—often more like a brother—to many. John’s life was defined by kindness, loyalty, and humor. Known for his quick wit, fun-loving spirit, and ability to bring joy to any gathering, he had a rare gift for making people feel valued. A lifelong New York Yankees fan, John never spoke ill of anyone and never complained, even in the face of adversity. A devoted and selfless caregiver, John lovingly tended to his mother in her final years, embodying compassion, patience, and unwavering devotion.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing golf, spending time with family, and friendly games of bocce at the Italian Political Independence Club. John was predeceased by his beloved parents, John Francis and Carmela Sofia (Sequenzia) Pandolfi, as well as many aunts and uncles. His warmth, humor, and unconditional love will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
