Carmen Milagros Ortiz has gone to be with the lord on July 24, 2025 at the age of 73.

Carmen was born May 18, 1952 in Maunabo, Puerto Rico to Isabel Troche Acevedo. She worked at the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan, PR. Later, she moved to New Britain, CT where she worked at Diloreto Magnet School for many years until she retired.

Carmen is survived by her children Elizabeth Fargas, Felix Fargas, Milagros Rodriguez, Jamilka Rodriguez, grandchildren Gino Gentile, Jakara Fargas, Kiara Colón, Nathan Colón, Elijah Felix, Isaiah Felix, Josiah West, Ezekiel West, 3 great grandchildren and many siblings.

Carmen’s greatest passions were cooking and helping anybody in need. She was fierce and outgoing, not afraid to advocate for herself, family or anybody who was in need of help.

Family, friends and anybody who would like to pay their respects are invited to Farrell Funeral Home at 110 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Viewing will start at 10am followed by service at 11am and burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery right after.
