It was always such a joy to welcome Mike to our home
For Thanksgiving or Christmas in Rhode Island. We really feel that Kate, Mike and Mike’s care team are part of our family. We’ll miss you, Mike.

Mike lived at Hall Acres for the last 8 years. Mike was a loving man that care for his peers and his staff. Mike loved his morning coffee, his sunglasses, talking about cars, reading magazines, going to Lowes, Home Depot, going on a ride around town and a stop at Dunking or just simply taking afternoon naps. Hall Acres family will miss his warm smile and his gentle demeanor. We will always love you Mike until we meet again. - Hall Acres Family

I especially remember birthdays and Christmas when we drove to the Mystic Diner, across from the Aquarium, to meet Mike and Job,, who would drive there from the group home where Mike lived, Sometimes we went with his sister Kate and June Speakman and sometimes it was just my wife Renee and me.. But regardless of the cars we came in it was the same group inside eating big diner breakfasts and plying Mike with car stuff, goofy hats and other presents,. Mike liked being the center of attention and we all had a great time..

Mike was so much fun!
There is nobody better to go through a fancy car museum with, to be sure, and he made traditions easy: Red Velvet Cake and Coke on birthdays, and Mystic Diner for Christmas Eve.
The best was Mystic Diner. In addition to reliably ordering pancakes, Mike was always up for wearing a Santa Hat, and he was our own happy Christmas angel.
He was doubtful of the blinking lights necklace, but he went along for the ride, ever the good sport.
I am so grateful for these years with Mike and Kate. He loved nobody more than his sister, and it was special to be in the room with them.
Nothing, especially Christmas, will be the same without him.

I have many memories of Mike, from outing and parties and Holidays, but the ones that I will cherish the most was singing with him. We sang Patsy Cline songs together and the oldies but goodies. He knew all the lyrics. His smirky smile his quick wit and talking about His girlfriend Khloe Kardashian (she was the prettiest one). Mike was a kind soul and will be missed very much. May you live pain free in eternity, God bless you Michael Mele

I have been truly blessed to have spent the last two years getting to know Mike. Mike made me smile every single shift I worked with him. I used to tell him all the time that he was the house sweetheart—because he really was. Always full of compliments, kind words, and a charm that could brighten even the gloomiest day.
He was such a gentleman, always so polite, so thoughtful. It’s hard to pick just one memory, because there are so many moments I’ll carry with me. I’ll miss our spontaneous singing sessions, the way he’d suddenly burst into a classic Gomer Pyle phrase that would have us all laughing, and—yes—I’ll even miss our conversations about The Kardashians. He had a way of making the most unexpected things fun.
Mike wasn’t just someone I helped care for—he became part of my heart. And though he’s no longer here, the happiness he shared lives on in the memories we all hold.

I never met Mike but I feel like I have. My dear friend, Kate, told great stories of her beloved brother. She me made me laugh as we travelled the cobblestoned streets of Paris. Mike brought her so much joy and that was infectious. Now, when we wander those Parisian streets, we’ll be toasting Mike, and the light he is sharing!

Mike,
You loved the bike run every year. Seeing how much you enjoyed all the motorcycles, only made the event that more special.
Thank you for the many years of memories.
I will miss you.
