Obituary of Lois Zanetti

Lois Marion (Aldrich) Zanetti, 93, of New Britain, wife of the late Joseph Zanetti, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Born in New Britain on March 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Ethel V. (Gottlin) Aldrich.  She was predeceased by her brothers Harold (Ben) Aldrich Jr. and Robert Aldrich.

A 1949 graduate of New Britain High School, Lois was a member of the Delta Gamma Sigma Sorority. She was formerly employed at Tuttle & Bailey and later at The New Britain Herald, from which she retired. A supporter of women’s sports, she was an avid fan of UConn Women’s Basketball and the Connecticut Sun.

She is survived by her devoted son, Michael Zanetti, with whom she lived; daughter Lee Mangiapia and husband Philip of South Weymouth, MA; sister-in-law Diane Aldrich of Southington, CT; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Lois will be held on Thursday, June 12th with a visitation from 10:00 – 11:00AM followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00AM at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain.

 In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
