
Obituary of Laurient B. Michaud
Laurient (Bill) Michaud, 75, a veteran of the Vietnam War and a longtime resident of New Britain, CT passed away on May 26, 2025 at home surrounded by family.
Laurient (Bill) was born in St. Francis, Canada to Laureat and Aurore Michaud on Sept 16, 1949. He resided in Fort Kent, ME for majority of his childhood. He attended Meteor Community High School and enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 1968. His time in uniform left a lasting impression on all who knew him, and he remained a proud and decorated veteran throughout his life. After the war he found his way to New Britain, CT where he found his second passion, carpentry. He was a long-time member of the French Model Club, St. Jean Baptist Club and Oaks Club.
Laurient (Bill) is survived by his wife, Susan (Chambers) Michaud of New Britain, son Billy Michaud and his wife Katie of Torrington, daughters Michelle Michaud of New Britain, Billie Jo Parker of Fort Pierce, FL, Bobbie Jo Morales of Port St. Lucie, FL, sisters Jacky Frederick of Bristol and Hermance Berman of Maine, grandchildren, Saraya, Shavannie, Shamell, Amil and Simone, three great grandchildren and another great granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral services for Laurient will be held on Tuesday June 3rd with calling hours from 10:00 -11:30 am at Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT. Burial with Military Honors will followed at 12pm at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT.
